Among popular career aspirations for today’s teens, nursery and landscape design is not near the top…yet. To increase its potential popularity, nursery and landscape associations nationwide knew they had to plant some seeds with high school students to generate interest in “green” career options.
Led by the Minnesota Nursery & Landscape Association, the local and national associations worked with RMPR to develop TheLandLovers.org – an online portal with fields of information about careers in the nursery and landscaping industry for high school students, their parents and guidance counselors. Offering a fresh perspective on these budding career options, TheLandLovers.org provides insight on everything teens need to know about “green” jobs, including responsibilities, earning potential and education requirements, proving that these professions involve more than just getting down and dirty in the soil.
